Healthcare Corporate Profitability During Economic Volatility: The Role of Liquidity and Solvency (2020–2024)

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of Liquidity and Solvency on Profitability in Healthcare sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2020–2024 period. The independent variables in this study are Liquidity and Solvency, while the dependent variable is Profitability. The population in this study includes all healthcare companies listed on the IDX, where the sample was determined using a purposive sampling method to obtain 10 sample companies with a total of 50 observation data for 5 years. This study uses secondary data obtained from the company's annual financial report. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis processed using the SPSS program. Based on the results of the study, it is known that partially Liquidity has a positive and significant effect on Profitability. Conversely, Solvency has a negative and significant effect on Profitability. Simultaneously, the test results show that Liquidity and Solvency have a significant effect together on Profitability in Healthcare sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period.
